YOUR PRIVACY, EXPLAINED
Cookie Policy
Understand what cookies do, why they may be used and how to manage your preferences.
Draft updated: 7 October 2026 • Original policy: 20 April 2024
Find the information you need. Choose the optional categories you’re comfortable with.
Interactive design preview. Live-site integration is pending.
THE SHORT VERSION
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Similar technologies, such as browser storage and tracking pixels, may also be used by websites.
Some technologies support the service you request or remember privacy choices.
Review categories separately and return to change your selections.
The live cookie list should name actual providers, purposes and durations.
Preview controls only. Live integration is pending.
This is a revised design and content draft. The live WordPress cookie inventory, provider settings and consent behaviour must be confirmed. The controls here save preferences for this preview only.
01 / THE BASICS
A cookie is a small text file that a website can store on your browser. It can help remember a choice, maintain a session or measure how a website is used.
Session cookies generally expire when your browsing session ends. Persistent cookies remain for a set period or until removed. Cookies can be set by the website you visit or by a third-party provider.
Browser local storage, pixels and other technologies work differently from cookies. Where used, they should be listed and explained alongside cookies rather than left out of this policy.
02 / PURPOSE & CHOICE
These categories describe the technologies covered by the existing policy. The audit will determine which ones are actually used and how choices apply.
Essential where applicable
For essential functions
Security, requested services and remembering privacy choices. Confirm the exact technologies used on the live website.
Confirm live use
To understand site usage
Usage measurement can help identify useful pages and technical issues. Google Analytics is mentioned in the existing policy; its current setup needs verification.
Confirm live use
To remember preferences
Optional features may remember settings or enhance a requested experience. Include this category only if those features use storage on your site.
Confirm live use
To measure and personalise ads
Advertising tools may measure campaigns or support personalised ads. Include only tools confirmed by the live-site audit.
Confirm live use
For third-party content
Embedded media or social tools may access information on your device. A standard outbound social link alone does not establish this use.
03 / THE DETAILS
The table identifies the preference storage used by this preview. The live website inventory is pending verification; unverified cookie names and lifetimes have not been added.

A live inventory should also identify each item’s category, domain and applicable choice. Audit before and after making consent selections.
04 / YOU’RE IN CONTROL
Open cookie preferences to review optional categories. You can return through this page or the footer link whenever you want to change your selection.
Preferences control requires live consent-manager integration.
The preview does not load analytics or advertising tags. Saving a preference here does not change cookies on webytag.com. On WordPress, these controls need to open the installed consent manager and reflect its actual blocking behaviour.
Your browser can also delete or block cookies. Blocking essential storage may affect particular features. Changing a preference does not necessarily remove cookies already stored by a provider.
Google provides a separate Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Google advertising settings manage advertising preferences and should not be presented as the general Analytics opt-out control.
05 / THIRD-PARTY TECHNOLOGIES
The current Webytag policy mentions Google Analytics. Confirm whether it is active and which configuration is used. Any other analytics, advertising or embedded-content providers should be included after verification.
Usage measurement. Mentioned in the existing policy; live implementation requires confirmation.
To verify
For each confirmed provider, explain what information is collected, its purpose, storage duration and the choices available. Third parties have their own policies, while Webytag’s controls should describe which integrations the site can enable or disable.
06 / KEEPING YOU INFORMED
This policy should be reviewed when cookies, providers or consent settings change. The publication date should reflect the approved live version. Material changes should be explained through an appropriate website notice.
